Introducing CLAHRC East Midlands
Introducing CLAHRC East Midlands...
Following a successful five year pilot, the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) has awarded funding to 13 Collaborations for Leadership in Applied Health Research and Care (CLAHRCs) across England. CLAHRC East Midlands is one of these.
A prospectus introducing NIHR CLAHRC East Midlands has been produced. It covers the research themes that will be undertaken, who the partners are, an analysis of the health needs of the region and much more. Read the prospectus here.
CLAHRC East Midlands will improve patient outcomes by conducting research of local relevance and international quality. It will build on the substantial achievements of the CLAHRCs for Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Lincolnshire (NDL) and Leicestershire, Northamptonshire and Rutland (LNR) in bringing together health providers, commissioners, patient groups, health and research networks, life science industries and academic institutions to support the NHS to meet locally identified priorities.
The overarching aim of CLAHRC East Midlands is to improve health outcomes across the region. More information on CLAHRCs can be found at www.nihr.ac.uk/infrastructure/pages/CLAHRCs
