Patchwork

Anna Hutson's winning logo

Last month PATCHWORK researchers ran a competition encouraging children to design a new logo for the study.

The competition was open to children at Burton Joyce Primary School in Nottinghamshire. The name PATCHWORK reflects what the study is aiming to encourage - parents, teachers and children working together.

Entries were judged by CLAHRC Director Rachel Munton and Theo Stickley, Associate Professor of Mental Health at the University of Nottingham. The standard of entries was very high, as Dr Janine Coates, one of the researchers on the study explains "Well done to all the children who entered, it was a tough decision. Everyone's entry was creative and really reflected the spirit of our study".

The winning entry (see above) was designed by Anna Hutson. Anna was presented with her prize in assembly at the school by Dr Coates and fellow researcher Professor David Daley.
